About

Being a hobby kollector means to constantly be inspired and to test the limits of mediums and the boundaries between materials. Each piece is unique, and serves to further the learning and explorative process. This means a high failure rate and a high changeover rate in a constant chase for inspiration.

Kynan Moore

Kynan was born and raised in Southern Oregon with her parents and her three older brothers with whom she discovered many of her passions for creation. Her parents had accumulated the tools and skills to create in almost any medium and not only facilitated but actively participated in all of them.

Kynan began with drawing and doodling in class and painting with her mom. Her dad rediscovered his passion for pottery when a local studio opened. He began to throw pieces again and invited both Kynan and her mom to decorate these pieces. Over time this developed from carving and painting to a full blown ceramic obsession including sculptures, glaze experimentation and much more. This passion continues to evolve and grow. Woodworking, metalworking, and designing came around shortly after and continued into college. Kynan graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2020 with a BS in mechanical engineering. This exacerbated a need to learn, discover, and continue to experiment.
